Dr. Clark MacCullough’s interest in animals started as early as he can remember. While growing up in Tampa, he had a variety of pets including dogs, rabbits, lizards, snakes, fish, turtles and a multitude of birds. Prior to veterinary school, he attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!) to receive his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees of Science. He then went on to graduate from the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. For the first couple years after graduation, he worked at an exotic animal hospital in southeast Florida where he became well versed in basic husbandry as well as critical care medicine for many different species.
In 2006, he moved back to the Tampa Bay area to work with predominantly dogs & cats as well as be close to family. Happy to be living near the beach in Pinellas County, he joined our staff at Seminole Blvd Animal Hospital in 2008. He is a member of the Pinellas County Veterinary Association, American Veterinary Association as well as species specific groups such as the Association of Reptile & Amphibian Veterinarians.
Dr. Clark’s special areas of medical interest include endocrine diseases (ie. diabetes), pain relief for chronic diseases (ie. arthritis), exotic animal medicine & soft tissue surgery.
When he is not working, you can find him playing tennis, watching sports or at home with his family. Rachel and Dr. Clark share their home with their son (Kellen), Jack Russell (Conan), an armchair cat (Percy) and a Blue & Gold Macaw (Faith).
